- Location Data: If you grant permission, we collect precise GPS location data to support field work operations and job card management. Location data is collected only when the App is in use and you have enabled location services.
- Camera and Device Sensors: If you grant permission, we access your device's camera to capture photos for verification purposes (e.g., meter audits, asset verification). We do not access your camera without explicit permission.
- Device Information: We collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Apps, including features accessed, pages viewed, and actions performed.
- Log Data: Our servers automatically log technical information including IP addresses, access times, browser type, and pages visited.
2.3 Offline Data
For offline functionality, the App stores certain data locally on your device using SQLite database. This data includes information necessary for your field operations and is synchronized with our servers when you reconnect to the internet.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Apps and its features
- To authenticate your identity and secure your account
- To enable field operations including meter readings, audits, job card management, and asset verification
- To track job assignments and completion in the field
- To process and manage utility meter data and customer service requests
- To send service-related notifications and updates, including notices required by law
- To support customer service and respond to your inquiries
- To monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience and Apps functionality
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
4. Data Security and Storage
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols

- Secure storage on Azure-hosted cloud servers
However, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

The SUM Apps may integrate with or use third-party services and platforms, including but not limited to:
